Sweet Lili for Lisa!

Hello!  I did so badly at getting Christmas cards out that I'm starting early on my valentines!!  This is one I made for my friend, Lisa Kind over at Kind Creations! We met for a little crafting retail therapy and snacks yesterday!  Check out her link!  She is one of those consistently great creators and so nice, too!  She has a challenge on her blog today to use felt on your creations!  Great idea!
I used High Hopes, Lili Mouse to show off my new (grand) window die!  I'm in love with these dies!!  I keep checking to see how many more images that have can be used int he window!  Lili has an oak leaf in her hand making her a bit 'fallish' in appearance.  I chose to cover the leaf with some fern punches and tiny hearts for flowers (ala Kittie747).  I used a Cheery Lynn tree die outside the snowy window and an MS heart punch to make a lacy curtain!  I told Lisa I still think it looks a bit plain on top and maybe I should have punched an SU oval for a sentiment!
I am lovin' the pinks lately and in this case used RV04, RV17 and RV19 for her bow and dress.  I also used a little RV10 for blending and in her ears/nose.  Her fur is E31, E34. E55 and a touch of E57.  I just realized I should have used a little white pen on her eye dots and some black glossy for her eyes! Oh, well!  I did remember to give her bow some sparkle with Star dust stickles.
The window is cut from Sahara Sand and sponged with same.  The card base is Kraft, stamped with a Hero Arts background in Soft Suede.  The dp is from a Bo Bunny pad and the pink is PTIs raspberry Fizz.
I think that covers the whole card.  Lili is rounded and raised for a 3D look!
Thank you for coming by today!
I wish you health, happiness and prosperity in 2012!!

Quilted Snowman

Hello friends!!  It's been awhile since I've completed a card!! I don't know where the days are going!  I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday! I'm working on Thank you notes at the moment so I have one to show you today!
I used a retired set from Stampin' Up! called Festive Four.  The sentiment is from a more recent word set.  The stitched background is from Papertrey ink and is called Stitches and Swirls.

I used a kraft card base and layers of Purely Pomegranate (wish SU would bring it back!!) and PTI's Hawaiin shores which is acturally a deeper turquoise than my photos show.  I built my feature piece and then "quilted" it with the SU folder.
The snowmen are colored with copics-BG10, BG11 and BG72 for the sky.  T5, T3 and T1 and ) for his hat.  Pinks are RV04, RV17 and RV1perfect for PUrely Pomegranate!

Wishing you a fabulous day!

Merry ChristMOOSE!

Hi!  Well, it's sure getting down to the wire now, isn't it?  I have been working on some gift packaging!  Um, even though our Christmas cards aren't done!  Hope you are doing better than me at finishing things up!!
I made this box using the directions in the most recent Magnolia magazine.  It's a wonderful little box from the Grand Labels four.  My Scor-pal is a must to make this kind of box quick and easy (and Scor-tape, of course!!)!!  A perfect size to decorate and fill!  This time I used a moose from Whipper Snapper designs.  He's actually standing in flowers, but I cut those off when I cut him out. I knew I wanted him standing in some soft ground pine!
There's a ribbon handle attached to the sides. I thought the filler was more red when I put it in, but it looks more pink now. Oops!  The moose is colored with copics.  I know I started with Y21, there is also quite a bit of E97, a terrific reddish brown.  The rest I cannot remember, I'm so sorry!
Well, I have some other coloring to get done before work today!
Have a great, great day!!!

TILDA WAITS FOR SANTA

And she's waiting on the windowsill!! I have a new die!! I love this Memory box die which is also available at www.poppystamps.com.  This is the small window die.  The large window die is on its way to me and may come in today's mail.  I can hardly contain myself!!
My card was inspired by the adorable mini images from Magnolia-licious, but also by the MOST talented Kittie747!! She makes such wonderful creations with her punches and, recently has been using the large window die (be srue to scroll down her blog)!!  She totally enables me by everything she shows on her blog!  (Linked above).  My mini is #3058 mini SWEET CHRISTMAS TILDA.  I have linked the full sized image here because it looks like the mini is not available right now.  Be sure to check with Diana though, she is sure to restock if you ask her!  She's GREAT that way! She also has many dies in stock and a frequent shopper program!! Too good to be true these days!
Here's a close up of our girl!
I hope you get a bit of an idea of the dimension on this relavtively simple card.  I wanted Tilda and the window to really be featured! The stamp behind is a litttle pine tree scene (also from Magnolia!!). I trimmed it to fit the back of the window and then raised the window on dimensionals.  It would make a great shaker card, which I hope to try soon!
I just realized maybe I should put some snow in the corner of my window panes!  I think I'll add that later today!
I hope you've enjoyed today's post! I am IN LOVE with this card!  It will be a little hard to send it off, but the beauty of stamping is that I can make another!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Sweet Tilda Ornaments

Hello!  Are you overwhelmed yet? I am, but just a bit.  Shopping is pretty much done for me.  How about you?  I have a couple of ornaments to show you today!  I hope you like them!  They are for a dear person in my life, but I've never met her in person!

I used an Ellison die cut at school for my snowflake ornament base.  I cut out medium coasters and then some of this great teal sparkle paper from Michael's.  I used PTI shimmer paper for the intricate snowflake (Spellbinders).  then I went to coloring up some mini Tildas.
This one is #354 Mini JINGLE TILDA.   She is available at Magnolia-licious.  Check out the VERY speciall pricing when you buy two images which Diana has selected!  Also, while you're there, take a look at all the dies Diana is carrying now.  all are at a discount AND she has a frequent shopper program to benefit her customers!!
This one is #3082 Mini TILDA WITH CROSS STITCH HEART.  She is another of my favorites from the collection, SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAMS.

I don't know how well you can see it, but I used two of Martha Stewart punches to make the greenery in a dark and lighter green.  Kittie747 is one of my stampin' heroes and she has done some wonderful things with her greenery this year!  Such an inspiration because she also posts picture tutorials for how to make the items!  I am working on another to post VERY soon that I love even more!

Well, I must get ready for work!! Have a great day today!!

It's in the Bag Tilda!

Hi!  I had some stamping time this weekend and made this gift bag for a receipient in my Card Club.  We have our Christmas party this week and we each bring items (all the same) to fill the bags, then we draw numbers to see who take which bag home.  This is my first year with this 'lots of fun' group! I can't wait to see the bags everyone designed!!
And, if you're up for a challenge, we have one going on at Magnolia-licious Highlites!  Use Mini wrapped and Unwrapped Tilda to make a Christmas project to enter.  Diana has special pricing (click to see them all!) on the two stamps!!! A great deal!!
I used #3082 TILDA WITH CROSS STITCH HEART as well as the #448 SANTA BENCH . They are both in stock at the best store for Magnolias and the TILDA is even 20% off right now!  Check it out!!
I have had the urge lately to use pink and white, but I found I just needed to add the brown in there too!  So an all white card with pink is still on my list!  I used R81, 83 and 85 for her sweater, hat and socks.  the browns are many of the E markers in my collection!  I usually start with E42 or 31 and just keep deepening and blending with the lighter marker until I get the look I want.

I used the Spellbinders poinsettia die with PTIs sparkly white card stock.  There's also a layer of it behind Tilda, embossed in snowflakes and then sponged in some blushing bride ink. My greenery is cut from some inexpensive picks I got at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.  They really add more sparkle!
Sorry about all the pics!  With the new blogger I couldn't tell which ones I had used!
This is the whole bag. I used MS pine bough punch for the top and bottom.  Thanks for coming by!! Hope you had a nice weekend and wishing you a good week ahead,
Cheryl

VINTAGE JOY

Good morning!  I have a card with a stamp from I Brake for Stamps! It's called Elegant Joy.  You still have a week (10 days to be exact) if you'd like to join in.  Rules are on the blog I BRAKE FOR CHALLENGES.  You don't have to use an IBFS image, but if you have one (some) we'd love to see them!  We hope you'll join in for IBFCC15!!
I used a kraft card base, my favorite!  Then I added a layer of SU dsp before a black layer made with the new Papertrey Ink die cut.
I must admit that I like this card better in person than I do in the photos I took.  I hope you can see some of the elegant sparkle.  The image colored up quickly with copics in shades of red and yellow with some E on the outside to age the image a bit.
some red crinkled seam binding finished this one off.
Thanks for coming by today!  Wishing YOU a lovely and productive day and weekend!!

Snow Much Fun!

Hi friends!  Thanks to those of you who hang in there with me when I don't get posts (and Cards!) done as often as I'd like!!  I {{heart}} you!
I finally inked up a great Stampin' Up set called Snow Much Fun!  I love snowmen stamps!!  Do you have a lot of them too?  Quick and easy to color!  This card was a case of a Karen Barber (I think!) card on Splitcoast.  Give credit where credit is due!

I used PUrely Pomegranate (a color I think SU should bring back!) for my card base.  Then a layer of black, then my fav new color-Pool Party!  Pool party is stamped with SU snowflakes from past in Snow Cap and then some in
Baja Breeze.  The BB ones have stickles added after.  I also sponged the edges of the PP layer in Soft Suede.  The 'snow' is a layer of torn water color paper.  The snowman is colored in copics and cut out.  I curve my cut outs a bit and then glue them down for some dimension.  I hope you like this simple card of mine which could be for Christmas or for a thank you card after!
Have a great day and weekend.  I'm working on some things to relieve the stress of school so will have a post again soon!  Hang in there with me!
Hugs to you! Cheryl

Let it Snow!

Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends who visit me in cyberspace!!  Today's card is snowy, but one of the things I'm thankful for is that we DON'T have snow for Thanksgiving!  I can remember some wintry Thanksgivings when we had to drive 40 minutes to my Aunt's house for our turkey dinner!!

But, this little guy is pretty happy to have snow!  He is called SNOWBALL BOY and is from Whimsy and Stars Studio!  I {{heart}} him VERY much!!  You can buy him HERE if you like him too!  He's a digital image by Mabelle R. O.  She is so sweet and talented!  Take a look around when you visit her etsy store!
I colored him in BG10, BG72 and BG18.  Hair and boots are various Es, not written down.  Face and hands are E000, R30 and E11.
The snowflake is a new(to me) EK success punch from JoAnn's. If I see a new snowflake punch I can't seem to resisit it!  I sewed around my card, but wish now that I had also sewn across the felt snow.  I added MS crystal glitter wherever I could!  Also put Stardust stickles on his clothes!  Though I've never seen a little boys' snow suit with sparkles, I couldn't resist!
I just have to make one small thing for today because my sister-in-law is a great cook and we are traveling a whole mile to their house today!
If you're traveling, please be careful and safe!  HAPPY THANKSGIVING and if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving today, Have a great day!!

You have to use both images in your projects, but check out the STORE LINK!  Diana has them bundled for 8.99!! A real deal!  AND you could win a Kindle e reader (I heart mine and am getting a new Fire for Christmas!!)  2nd prize is 5 Magnolia mini stamps and third prize is  3 magnolia mini stamps!  With so many to choose from this is a fabulous prize!!

This is the opposite side of my little box!  I have it filled with cream colored paper strips and ready for a gift!  I thought I had a cellophane bag I could put it all in but, nope, can't find even one! I've also used the Christmas tree from a year or two ago, but in stock in Diana's wonderful store!
This adorable little box is made from Spellbinder's Grand Labels (4, I think!).  The directions and a beautiful Blue and White sample were in the most recent Cardmaker Magazine (November2011) Page 60-61.  Super fun and easy!  I wanted to make more!  I may have to because I've bought some sets of cultured pearl stretchy bracelets for Christmas gifts and they will work perfectly in these little boxes!

A Letter for Me

Hi!  I have a new card today (finally!).  This time I used a new image from Whimsy designed by Sylvia Zet and available at I Brake for Stamps! This one is called A Letter for Me.  I think it would be cute to leave a note for Santa in this card!

I used Bordering blue for my card base, then Night of Navy and then some dp from Magnolia.
I have some Spellbinders snowflake medallion dies that I don't think I've ever used so the large snowflake behind was a must!  I colored the image with my copics, of course.  Blues were B91, 95 ank 97, I think.

We'd love to have you join us in our current challenge at I Brake for Stamps-Four Seasons.  You don't need to use IBFS images, but if you have them we'd love to see them!  You have 10 days to play along and won't you let a friend in on the challenge!?  Rules are all on the blog link above!
Lots to do as I am finally changing my clothes in closets and drawers over to winter things!  A big job!  Hope to get some decorations on the front porch as the weather is not too bad.
Hope YOU are having a great day!

MINI TILDA WINE TAG AND BLOG CANDY WINNER!

Hello friends!!  Well, another weekend almost gone!! So sad!! Oh well, I guess I'd better get my school work done that I brought home....as soon as I finish my post!
I made a tag today!  When I want to make something with one of my Magnolia images that is quick I pull out the minis!  they color up so quickly and they are ca...ute!!
I've used #3048 MINI SITTING TILDA WITH TEDDY BEAR, and #448 MINI SANTA Bench, Please check out the best store on the planet for all things Magnolia!!  Diana is now carrying Marianne and other dies!  She also has some great little stamp bundles which will save you $$$!
My tag started out as a manilla packing tag-so fun to work with!  I stamped the white snowflakes in Adirondack Snow Cap, let it dry, and then used the Tim Holtz ink applicator to color my tag with DI Tumbled Glass and then some vintage photo and Walnut Stain!  This is the 'ghosting' technique and is the current challenge at Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge blog! fun to do!  And brought to you by my friend, Lisa Kind!  Thanks, Lisa!
I used my new Spellbinder's die called Oval Window, cut from black.  the other ovals nest inside the scroll edges. I left it in the die after embossing and used the white ink on the embossed spots.  then I added Martha's Crystal Coarse glitter on those designs.  Of course, I also added some stickles to my image!

Some ribbon and an oval tag (with SU! oval punches, as is the sentiment) and my wine bottle tag was finished.
Copics are: e000, E30, R11
R81, R83 , R21 AND R22
GREENS G40.82, 03 AND 28
E31, 33, 55, 25 AND 29 (also used on teddy ear with some 42 and 55.
Thanks for visiting today!! I am also posting this for today Featured stamper on Splitcoast -ITSAPASSION (Anne) and for the JUGS challenge I mentioned above.

Oh, and the winner of a 6x6 Simple Stories pad and a stamp or two is comment 31-chosen by Random.org.-MICHELLE of Long Sault, Ontario, Canada.
Michelle, will you email please, with your address.  drowley6@stny.rr.com
Thanks so much!! Cheryl

We wish you a Merry Christmas

Hello!  I have another Christmas card I want to show you today!  I'm so happy with how this turned out!  How will I ever send it?!  At least I get to look at it for a few weeks first!  The image is #3101 TILDA WITH SNOW HEART from Magnolia-licous!  It's a great store for all things Magnolia, great customer service and a frequent buyer program!!  I's sorry she's not in stock right now, but the mini image is!

I used a card base of PTI's burgundy, then a layer of River Rock (SU!), then a layer of True Thyme (SU! retired-love that color!) and some gorgeous Simple Stories Papers called Generations,  see below for blog candy!!.  I don't think the papers are intended as Christmas, but that's what I saw in the muted darker colors with a pink rose in some of them.
And all that seam binding?  It's actually a bow and 'pull' for the tag that goes behind the image. I've seen this on a number of blogs and love the idea.  Haven't done one for awhile. TIP: If you raise the side of your image on dimensionals the tag slides behind more easily! Just be careful not to glue/tape where you want the tag to go!
My image is colored with copics alone!  The face is E000, R30 and E11.  The 'yellows' are Y21, YR12, YR21 and YR24.  I added some E99 to her boots to make them a touch darker.  The 'reds' are R22. R05. R37 and R89.  Of course, there are stickles added to the snow and to her sweet outfit!!
I used flowers from my stash which definitely needs to be replenished soon!  And the Martha Stewart fern punch because it looks a bit like pine boughs!
BLOG CANDY ALERT!!
I hope you like my entry today!  I bought some extra packs of Simple Stories Generations( 6X 6 pad) and would love to give one away and maybe a stamp or two!  Please leave me a comment to be entered and I will choose a winner with Random.org on Friday, November 11 in celebration of Veteran's Day as we appreciate all those who have served this great country!! Will ship anywhere!!  If you'd card to become a follower (and you aren't already) I'd love that too, but it's not required!  Just remember to check back in on Saturday to see if you've won, please!

I'm entering my card in the Just Magnolia challenge-Anything goes with the option of pearls and lace! (I got the lace in!)
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!! Make it a great day!

Gingerbread Boy-

This new blogger is driving me crazy, but happy Sasturday anyway!!  I'll not dwell on what I dislike about trying to post!!
Another holiday card, FINISHED!  This one features an image just made for the baker in your family (or mine!) .  This Gingerbread Boy is from Whimsy and Stars!  You can get the digi image for 3.00, delivered immediately!

I colored it with my copics, but forgot to keep the colors separate!  I used some older Basic Grey (Fruitcake) papers on my card.  And, I used a sketch from the Splitcoast Featured Stamper. The little guys poor head got a little crinkled when I glued it down after raising his body on dimensionals, but otherwise I'm happy with the card!
Two close ups?  Yep, and did I mention that I have
issues with the new Blogger method!!?!

Have a wonderful Saturday!  We are expected sunshine and 50-60 degrees for two days!  Yippee, not winter yet!  We are also expecting another Buffalo Bills win! Go Bills!!
Hugs, Cheryl

NOVEMBER CHALLENGE-Angie's Inspiration!

Hello and Happy Thursday! Only one more day until Friday!!  Though I can't believe it's already November, I say, "bring it on!"  We, the DT at Magnolia-licious have the November challenge ready for you!! It's a couple of inspiration photos for you to choose from by the most talented, Angie!  You can see them both on the Magnolia-lcious Highlites Blog!  You have all month to play, so come on and join in!!

My image is one of the adorable new ones from the Sweet Christmas Dreams collection! I gotta have them All!!  This one is #3093 WINTER TILDA ! I'm so sorry that she's not in stock, but she is on reorder!  I also used the older images Winter trees (sorry, I don't have the number!)  and #571 Winter fence.  AND, I masked the fence and trees and then cut them out as one piece.
The snowy background that Tilda is standing in front of is ALSO FROM MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS!!  iT IS GORGEOUS!!   You get green, red, blue and white in this pattern!
I don't know about you, but I love the change of seasons!  Onc of the most beautiful sights is when it snows and the snow is so white that it looks blue!  That's what Angie's picture reminded me of.  We haven't had that this year, but it may be in the near future, methinks!
I used tips on colors from my friends, Barb Hardeman and Suzanne Dean. these tips came from their blogs when they colored blue images and listed the copics they used!  Thanks, girls!! You're the best!  Both blogs are on my sidebar.  I'm kinda tired, but I will edit to add the colors from these artists that I used! Promise-I'm much more alert in the morning!
I added lots of stickles for that special sparkle that snow has in the sun and, of course, Tilda needed some too!
Okay, bedtime soon, for me, so thanks for visiting today!! Swing by again soon!
Hugs, Cheryl

Rudolph White Out!

Hi!!  We have another I Brake for Challenges challenge for you today!  The theme for this two weeks is White out!  that means no white card stock.  BTW, mine is cream and I hope it's allowed!!

I love this cute RUDOLPH image from I Brake for Stamps!  They have such a variety and Della releases new images all the time!!  AND, you can use my code SAVE10CHERYL to get 10% off your order.  Prices and shipping are reasonable too!! For examplet, this Rudolph in deeply etched red rubber is only 4.25!!  Check out the NEW SECTION for what's new in the store.  They also carry Wild Orchid Flowers!
For my card, I stamped the image on Kraft paper from PTI and colored with Prismas and gamsol.  I've seen cards done like this and love them!  It was much easier than I thought!!  I can't wait to do a snowman now!  Of course, I added stickles for sparkle to this fairly simple card.  the lacy die is from Marianne D (Bunny Zoe crafts, I think!) and there is a red Nestability behind for more color.  The plaid is once again, my Impression Obsession gingham Cover-a-Card background.  It's stamped in New Leaf on New leaf Cardstock (both from PTI)  I added some faux stitching with a black pen.
for dimension, I used my trick of 'curling' the image a bit and then putting dimensional pieces down the center.  I add quick dry adhesive (Scotch) to the edges so they are stuck down.  this is difficult to do unless you've curled the image first.
And, that's it!
Please check out the other samples fromt he Design Team at the I Brake for Challenge Blog!! It'll be posted soon!  You don't have to use an IBFS image, but if you have some we'd love to see them!!  Thanks for coming by today, I appreciate your time!!
Have a great day!! Cheryl

One more for Halloween!

Good morning! Happy Halloween!! I love this holiday!  It's so fun to see the kids dressed up at school.  Do other schools around the country still "do" Halloween?  Just wondering!

This is #121 Mini Edwin Mummy from Magnolia-licious on a quick, last minute card for the day!  He is cute and quick to color!  I went with sort of a 'color block' look on this card with no frills as you can see.  My card base and moom are yellow from Papertrey ink.  The brown panel is Soft Suede stamped in Early Espresso. and the orange sidewalk is pumpkin pie stamped with cajun craze.
I debated on making Edwin's bandages all sparkly, but resisted temptation this time!  Of course, I could go back and add them!  Hmmmm....
Anyway, have a great day and week!

See you soon!

Pumpkin Wrap!

I wish right now I could type some little ditty for a pumpkin rap, but no, not me!!  However, I hope you like my card!  I used this week's SCS sketch and CASed the Featured Stamper as well!
This great image (stamp) is by Stampendous and is from our LSS-Buffalo Stamps and Stuff!  It came to me, though, from my friend Lisa Kind!  Thank you, Lisa!  I looooove it.  So fun (and quick) to color!!  I used B copics on his wrapping and the usual pumpkin colors- YRs mostly (like 12, 21 15, 16 and 18).  Once the nestie shape was cut and embossed, I stenciled Vintage Violet on it while still in the die.  You know I love that effect!
I added some stickles to his 'mummy wrap' for SPARKLE! then layered my image on some MME papers from a previous year-Eerir, I think they are called.
Thanks for coming by for a visit!  New month this week means new Blog posts!  Stay tuned, please!!

Isnt' she cute, tucked in her Christmas stocking!!  I sure think so!  When I first saw this collection, this is the one that caught my eye!!  And now she's mine AND the mini is on its way to me my collection too!!  Here's where they are in THE STORE!!  Diana has THE BEST selcetion of Magnolias and Minis at the best prices!! Check 'em out!

This is the regular size image and she is colored with copics.  I used soft Rs and Gs to get the tones.  I was trying to finish her in time for the Pink Challenge at Just Magnolia and for the Pastel Christmas challenge I found at ???  (don't know where and can't find it again!)  No wonder I never win any prizes!!
My papers are from a My Mind's Eye 6X6 called Market Street (from the Lost and Found collections) and Bo Bunny double dot in mint green. I used a kraft card base 'cuz it's my favorite!
Anyway, I had fun with this one and love how it came out!! Hope you do too!  Thanks so much for coming by today!!   I did finish in time to enter this into the Sketch for you to Try challenge for October. It's a great sketch.  here's the LINK to the site!

Ahoy there, Matey!!

Hi! Are you happy that it's mid week?  I sure am!! Except for wishing it was Friday! LOL!  There's a new challenge up today on the I Brake for Challenges blog!!  We want to see your Halloween cards!! Come on, you know you want to play!  Please enter!  You have two weeks to do so!! And, you don't have to use an IBFS image, but if you have some why not use 'em!

I used the Rick St. Dennis Pirate Costume bear for my card. You can find it HERE!!
He's very cute for a halloween card or for that little Pirate lover in your life!  I know we have one or two in my family!!
I used a black card base and then a layer of Cherrry Cobbler.  On top of that is some Graphic 45 paper from my stash ( I love the stripe!).  then a nestabiliy shape and then my image, colored in copice and stamped on express it blending card.  I used the E family for the bear fur- E31, 33, 35 and than a darker one.  The gray black is the C family of cool grays..  There's a little BG11 on his white shirt and some around the image as well.
The sentiment is an oldie from American Art Stamp.  My pearl placement is a little funny, but I wanted the dark gray pearls on this so badly that I left them on!
Hope you like and hope you will consider playing along with us!!
Here's the BLOG with details.  (I post early, so if it's not there yet, please check back later-it will be!!)
Thanks for coming by the cottage!

Whimsy and Stars Release Day!

Hello!! Thanks for visiting today!  It's a big day at Whimsy and Stars Studio Etsy store 'cuz it's the Christmas release day!! You'll want to see all of Mabelle's new images.  I think they're in digi for now, but she also has some of her art in rubbah now!!  And there's a BUY TWO GET ONE FREE SALE!! Who doesn't love a sale!?

My card is made with Sweet Cupcake. It comes in a set of two cupcakes, perfect for any occasion.  Unfortuneately, I don't see it in the store right now!  Inside my card it says, "Have a sweet Christmas"
I guess you can see lots of sparkle from my favorite Stardust Stickles and dry embossing from my favorite SU embossing folder on this one!

Thanks again for coming by!  Please check out Mabelle's store when you get a chance!
Have a great day!
Cheryl
p.s.  I've also entered this in the FTL (Fall to Layout) 162

DT Blog Hop!!

We, (the DT for Magnolia-licous) have such a great blog hop for you today!  The fun, working title was  a bit long, but hre it is:
It's the "We only have 'one Life to Live' 'As the World Turns' at the 'General Hospital with the'Young and the Restless'', Featuring Dr. Edwin and Nurse Tilda!! If you arrived here from a fabulaous post by the equally fabulous Janiel (Scrappy Jan Designs), you're in the right place!  So, here they are:   My version is a Get Well kit for a friend, starting with my Nurse Tilda card. :
She is, of course, from the best place to get Magnolia images, Diana's wonderful store!  She has them all for you and with a frequent buyer program and fast shipping!

Then here, is the rest of my "KIT" I thought I would like to make a Dr.'s bag, but then I remembered some small tan Gable boxes that I had gotten from Ebay awhile back.  I think it 'fits the bill' as a Doctor's Bag!! I painted it black with craft paint and added a coat of shine with some satin varnish! As you can see, the DOCTOR himself is on it! Dr. Edwin is exclusive to magnolia-licious in both regular and mini sizes!
I tried to use lots of glitter (stickles) to cheer up a friend!  In the kit would be- a package of tissues, some cough drops and maybe a gift card for a great store or coffee shop when good health returns!!  Mine isn't full yet!! Dave and I were away for the weekend and got home late Saturday. I had to spend today catching up on school work for the week and getting projects done for posts!
My pinks are the R80s-just perfect!  My grays are combos of Toner grays and the Cool grays.  I used BG11 for the aqua this time.
Thanks so much for coming by to see what I have been up to!! I love reading the comments I get!!  Thank you for those!
Please check out the blog for details on how you can play before the end of the month AND then head off to see what our Amazing Angie has been up to for the hop!
Enjoy the hop and your day!
If my links don't work, please know that blogger gave me fits (again!) as I typed this on Sunday night and I will get them fixed!  ETA: I think they are all okay now at 5:00 am!!
Hugs, Cheryl

Rose's Bike Ride

Good morning!  Ever had one of those weeks?  You just want to quit!  That was last week for me. Am hoping for better things this week! Sooo, with that in mind I finally created something!

This is a new stamp from a NEW set of stamps at I Brake for Stamps!  They are called Wee Stamps by the very talented Sylvia Zet!! Cute, cute cute!  This is Rose's Bike Ride, but you can see samples with the whole collection HERE.
Our challenge at I Brake for Challenges is to use the theme GIRL POWER!! in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month!  Here's the link to the Challenge Blog. You still have a week to enter your creation!  Please join us!  There is a prize to one lucky winner! You don't have to use IBFS images, but if you have them, we'd love to see them!  Either way, please join us!
I used cool grays for her 'ride' and R81, 83 and 85 with just a touch of 87 for her dress.  These are the rosy pinks that blend so nicely! Her hair and bike basket started with Y21 and some darker YR 12 was added, then a little E33 and E35.
I know this is a very simple, 5" card, but it was fun to make!
So, thanks very much for coming by today!  I'll be back soon!
Have a great week, yourself!! Cheryl

KNEELING TILDA for October Sketch

Hello stampers!  I'm so happy to be sharing my October challenge card for Magnolia-licious today!  Our new challenge goes on the whole month (so you have lots of time to play along!)!  Maureen has brought us this GREEEAAT sketch!  She also wants us to use Orange and Octogons for October! I added a little yellow, purple and green with my orange!

I've used the new SU purple  IN color for my background and stamped in Vintage Violet on it with my Gingham bg stamp.  I also stamped a piece of pumpkin pie with cajun craze in the plaid.  I cut the Octogonal Marianne die from Daffodil Delight and sponged it with a tiny bit of orange.
this wonderful Tilda is #259 KNEELING TILDA from the You are so Special collection 2011 and IS available at Magnolia-licious!  You can also get her in mini if you desire to! She is holding a ladybug, but as you can see I used a pumpkin stamp from my collection. She has chosen this pumpkin on her visit to the pumpkin patch!!  I colored her in copics, but I bet you knew that!! Her hair is various ys and Es.  I;ve lost track.  Her shirt is just touched lightly with a very light BV for a lavendar shade.  Her clothes and the pumpkin are colored in Y20, 23, 15, 16, and 18.  then I added a bit of E35 to darken her pants. Her skin is my usual E000, R30, and E11.  Her shoes are the same as her clothes with a little more E18 and E35 added.  I couln't resist making them sparkly sneakers!
For the sketch, wonderful DT inspiration, prize info and where to link please visit the Magnolia-licious Blog!
We really do hope you'll join in before the holiday on October 31!!
thanks so much for visiting me here!  I appreciate you so much!!
Have a great day!
Cheryl
